CEBU CENTURY HOTEL

        Cebu Century Hotel was our option when we stayed in Cebu City for an annual convention last October, this year. It is located in downtown Cebu City. From here, we preferred to travel by taxi to save time to go to the venue for the convention, which is the University of Cebu.
           The hotel is basically low priced for those who want to look for a venue that is accessible with jeepneys in and out of Colon at Corner Pelaez Street to be exact.

         The room we occupied has three beds and can barely accommodate six of us. It is air-conditioned and with cable TV. First thing we noticed, there were some cockroaches on the floor, some particle on the walls, and some food leftovers by some occupants before we stepped in.
    Despite of the condition we managed to settle in for we needed to be up early in the morning the following day. Unfortunately, around 9 o'clock in the evening, we heard some drilling and hammering noise downstairs. We called up the staff to inform them that the noise bothers us a lot and we need to get some sleep. Without any hesitation, she told us to bare with them until 10 o'clock in the evening because the management had some deadlines to catch for the said renovation downstairs. Unluckily, the noise ended up until 11 o'clock in the evening.

         This is our bathroom without hot shower. The mirror above the lavatory is attached to the wall way up above as compared to the average height of a Filipino. I wondered, what may be the standard here. Every time we arrive in the afternoon, we were still using the same bedsheets and blankets on the same particular area where we left them in the morning. Trashes on the bins were not disposed unless we called the staff to collect them and  to sweep our floors. Not to mention some cockroaches on the floor.

          Like any customers, for us the services are more important to what we are paying. It does not matter if it is cheap or expensive, good management and services are the principal reasons for customers to keep them coming back.
